SUTTON STREET

Fayetteville, Arkansas

We worked with an active and adventurous family with three young boys under 8 to transform their attic space into a super functional and fun bunkroom and bathroom inspired by Peter Pan’s Lost Boys for their boys to call their own.

A PLACE FOR DREAMING

Our main source of inspiration for the space with Peter Pan’s Lost Boys. The three boys who would call this space their own are full of adventure and imagination and are super crafty and creative types. For the bunkroom, we wanted the space to feel transportive – like their own private upstairs Never Land escape. We wanted the color to feel rich but not too moody. We color drenched the entire bunk space and closet floor to ceiling in an earthy denim blue tone that will grow with the boys. We added three integrated bunks with built-in storage, integrated wardrobes and closet space, and a built-in desk area for the boys’ work and creative space. The result is immersive and dreamy.

A LIGHT DRENCHED BATH

We wanted the bathroom to feel bright and light drenched. Rain Check from Clare Paint had just the perfect amount of earthy green and blue in it to ground it and connect it to the denim and wallpaper tones outside. We added vertical shiplap paneling, zellige tile, custom linen storage, and a dresser we turned into a vanity to create a bath with equal parts charm and function.
